Electric Daisy Carnival will come to Vegas in May, not mid-June

"Heat cited as a factor."

Vegas ABC affiliate KTNV reports that the Electric Daisy Carnival will come to Vegas in the cooler month of May, instead of the sizzling month of June.

EDC has traditionally been held in mid-June at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which can be brutally hot. Each year has seen dozens of people treated for heat exhaustion and heat exposure has been a contributing factor in at least one death.
Variety says that 1,100 people sought medical attention during this year's EDC. And one carnival-goer died. Average temps in May range from 60 at night to 88 during the day. June was ten degrees hotter on average, and that makes a lot of difference.
